Photoshop doesn't show the video file I selected to make a gif. please help.?

Most likely you don't have enough ram to process it. When I was creating gifs in photoshop I had task manager running and it had used 5gb of my 6 available. So open task manager and click on performance to see the ram usage. Or activity monitor on mac.
