What is a kidney dialysis, and how does it work?

Basically the kidneys are used to filter the blood as it passes round the body. If they don't work properly then this is done artificially. The blood is passed through "machinery" which filters all the impurities out. This needs to be done regularly to prevent a build up of toxins in the body.
