Why can't I import files in Premiere Pro?

I'm trying edit some videos I took with my canon 7d, but I can't seem to import the .mov files that it creates. There is no error message or anything, it says it imports them, but nothing shows up in the "source" box. I'm running premiere pro cs3, any suggestions? Does is have anything to do with the preset options it gives you when you create a new project?
